And so it begins!

Hello, my name is Chelsea Hurst and I am currently the Student Activities Program Coordinator intern for Spring 2012. I will be working closely with Billy Boulden, the Assistant Director of Student Activities and another intern, Mike Youmans. There are a lot of really exciting and fun things that I will be involved in this semester, which I could not be happier about! Some events I will be helping coordinate are the Student Club and Organization Involvement Fair, helping coordinate the all the booths for Spring Weekend, and helping with Midnight Breakfast. On top of all those events I will be writing a weekly blog, such as this one, to update you all on how my internship is going, as well as to discuss fun events happening at Longwood University. So far, I have already started contacting people about the Club and Organization fair and I have been working on putting up MtvU messages for students to see on the TV located in the dining hall. Today, I even got to be included in an important meeting with an Orca TV representative to discuss putting up more televisions on campus with fun videos, PowerPoint’s, advertisements , contests, etc. involving Longwood’s clubs, organizations, departments and athletics. This experience already had been exciting and there is never a dull moment!
